Reading boss Paul Ince confirmed he was 'looking forward' to meeting the fans at tonight's STAR Fans Forum.

The supporters trust have organised a night in which their members can pose questions to manager Ince and Head of Football Operations Mark Bowen at the SCL Stadium.

Crowds have fallen over the past decade, since dropping out of the Premier League, with an average of just 12,000 last season- 50 per cent of the stadium's capacity.

However, despite the numbers the former England captain believes supporters have gotten around his players and are now closer to the club than when he took over.

"I'm looking forward to it," Ince stated. He continued: "It’s important because we talk about this common goal that we need to have this year and we all need to have it, players, staff, and fans. I feel last year we brought the fans closer to us, I felt the fans felt they were part of the club. We want fans to keep coming to watch Reading games, we’re not going to win every game but we’re going to try and compete in every game, and we need our fans behind us, our twelfth man. That’s the message I’ll be trying to send tonight; they’ve been great and were part of the team that kept us up- we need that again because it’s a tough year."

If you are yet to sign up for STAR but wish to go to the event, you can sign up on the door for £10 per adult and £5 per child.
