A Reading woman has been handed a huge court bill after dropping a cigarette outside a McDonald’s.
Elena-Denisa Serpe, of Cholmeley Road, littered outside the fast-food restaurant at Broadmead, Bristol, on December 10, 2021.
In a hearing at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 4, the 20-year-old was handed a £220 fine for the act, which is an offence under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Serpe was also told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £100 in court costs.
In total, this brought her court bill to £354.
Serpe did not appear for her hearing.
