Police are hunting for a man after failing to appear in court regarding an incident of theft in West Berkshire.

Nicholas Savva, 40, from Hounslow was due to appear at Reading Crown Court in May 2022.

He was charged with one count of theft relating to an incident between Burghfield and Hungerford.

Thames Valley Police have described him as a 5ft 8ins white man with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes.

He is also said to have a beard and a moustache.

Savva has links to the Hounslow area of London and Merseyside.

Investigating officer PC Joe Gibson of the Rural Crime Task Force base at Newbury police station, said: “Savva has failed to appear at court and enquiries have been ongoing to locate him.

“We are now appealing for the public’s help. If you know, where he is or may have seen him we would advise you not to approach him but please call 101 with the information you have, quoting reference 43220215444.

“If you have information but do not wish to speak to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
