Speaking after the opening day defeat to Blackpool, Reading manager Paul Ince said he is still after a left-back, midfielder and striker before the end of the transfer window this month.

Still under an embargo, it will remain free agents and loan deals for the remainder of the season.

We look at three left-backs on the market that the Royals could pick up this month.

Reading Chronicle:

Neil Taylor

A vastly experienced left-back, Taylor has over 100 Championship appearances to his name and another 150 plus in the Premier League for the likes of Swansea City, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.

A Wales international with almost 50 caps to his name, the 33-year-old was last with Boro, playing 17 times last campaign before being released at the end of the season.

Bryan Oviedo

Another well-known to English football circles, the Costa Rica international was a regular for almost a decade with Everton and Sunderland between 2012 and 2018.

The two-time Danish top-flight champion, the 32-year-old has spent the last two years with Copenhagen but played just 33 times and we released.

Jordan Lukaku

The youngest, and most acclaimed, on the list- Romelu Lukaku's younger brother spent the second half of last season on loan with Vicenza in Serie B.

Making a name for himself in his native Blegium, the 28-year-old spent six years contracted to Italian giants Lazio, where he made almost 100 appearances.

Particularly known for his pace and crossing, he could fit well in the three-at-the-back set-up Ince has been recetnly working with.
