A Reading man who has ‘no regard for immigration laws’ has been locked up after he entered the UK illegally.
Dishani Adriatik, of Hollym Close, Lower Earley, was residing in the United Kingdom between January 1, 2011, and July 9, 2022 having knowingly breached a deportation order.
The 34-year-old, who is not a British citizen, appeared in court earlier this month to plead guilty to the offence.
Following this, he was handed a 16-week prison sentence and ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.
According to a court file, Adriatik has committed previous breaches of a deportation order.
A note on the file suggested the defendant had ‘no regard for the immigration laws in this country.’
The Lower Earley man appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 11.
