As we move into the hottest time of the year, the UK festival season is well and truly underway.

After two years of Covid restrictions festival goers across Berkshire are even more excited for a summer of fun across the county.

We have put together a round up of events and festivals taking place this summer in Berkshire.

Reading

Reading Festival

Dates: 26-28 August

Almost 100,000 descend on the town for the biggest weekend in the area.

This year it has been announced that Arctic Monkeys, Dave, and Rage against the Machine are all headlining what promises to be another exciting Reading Festival.

Lakestock Festival

Date: July 30

Location: Lagoona Park, Reading.

Reading’s first dance music festival with watersports galore. With five stages of music, street food, aqua sports and some of the biggest bands will appear at this years Lakestock festival at Lagoona Park.

Summer Love Reading

Date: July 23 (12pm – 10pm)

Location: Prospect Park

'Summer Love Reading' promises relaxed reggae music, street food and more at Prospect Park.

he organisers have applied for a licence for live music, recorded music, performances and dance and the sale of alcohol.

 

Raver Tots festival

Date: Sunday, July 24 (11:30am – 7pm)

Location: Prospect Park

Raver Tots involves parents taking their toddlers to a ‘rave’ complete with leading dance music artists, a funfair, fancy dress and glow sticks.

Located at Prospect Park the day after ‘Summer Love’ festival.

Maidenhead

 

Maidenhead Festival

Reading Chronicle:

Dates: July 23 and 24

Where: Kidwell’s Park

The festival will include live music, street food stalls, a market, funfair, miniature train, inflatables, circus skills workshops and shows.

Entry is free for all the family.

 

Bracknell Forest

Wokingham Music Festival

Location: Cantley Park, Wokingham

Dates: August 27 – August 29

The Dutch prog rock group, Focus, have been booked alongside over 40 other artists from the borough and further afield. 

Organiser, Stan Hetherington, said: “The festival continues to evolve and provide great live music for the local community to suit all ages and musical tastes.

Marvellous festival 2022

Location: Dinton Pastures Country Park, Wokingham.

Date: Sat July 23 & 24

This is Wokingham’s original and best annual tribute festival, held every year at Dinton Pastures for almost 20 years.

Peacock Farm - Three day music festival

Dates: July 29, 30 and 31

Location: Peacock Farm pub

Peacock Farm have invited residents to join them in a family day and fundraiser.

The event, organised by the Bracknell pub and Vsi Razom- Ukrainian community will offer live music performances, DJ’s, food and drinks for all the family.
