READING City came from behind three times to beat Combined Counties League Premier South side Banstead Athletic 4-3 in a home friendly on Saturday.
Phil Veal, their recent signing from Binfield, was on the scoresheet along with Dan Davies, Pele Hagger and Ellis Wint.
And City, who had previously slammed Sandhurst Town 7-1, were among the goals again on Tuesday evening when they defeated Thames Valley Premier League club Burghfield 4-0.
Manager Simon Johnson has made his seventh new signing with the arrival of Callum Carlisle putting pen to paper. His previous clubs include Ascot United and Badshot Lea.
“He’s a versatile player who can play in different positions and has a great Step 5 football pedigree,” said Johnson. “I am delighted to welcome him on board.”
The Cityzens will be away to Southern League Division One Central, club Highworth in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup on August 6 with the winners taking on Royal Wootton Bassett or Windsor.
They also have to start their FA Vase campaign via the M4 as they have been drawn away to Gloucestershire side Longlevens from the Hellenic League Premier Division on August 27. The winners will be away to Milton United or Longwell Green Sports.
Also in the Vase, Woodley United will host Cadbury Heath at Rivermoor Stadium and, if successful, will be home to Roman Glass St George or Fairford Town in the second qualifying round.
In their latest friendly, Woodley defeated Reading YMCA 4-2.
