West Yorkshire Police has cordoned off the road as part of an ongoing investigation into the crash.

"A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit (drugs.)

"The road is currently closed whilst investigations take place."

Drink and drug driving

Both drink or drugs - including some legally prescribed medicines - can have a significant impact on a person’s ability to drive.

The consequences can be catastrophic.

Police can stop a vehicle for any reason and, if asked, drivers should always pull over when it’s safe to do so.

When a driver is stopped, police can ask to see the motorist’s driving licence, insurance certificate and MOT certificate.

Those who do not have the documents with them have seven days to take them to a police station.

Those who do not show the requested documents within seven days are breaking the law.
