Customers of the popular Reading sushi restaurant have reacted online after discovering it was given a one-star food hygiene rating.
Osaka at the Oracle was inspected by Food Standards Agency on May 6 2022 where it was told that it’s standards required major improvement surrounding food safety and management.
A poor hygiene rating could mean more possibility of food poisoning which could be prevented with proper preparation and hygienic food handling.

One reader, Jon Nolan said: “Not very re-assuring if you’re planning to order sashimi…”
Sashimi is the Japanese delicacy consisting of raw fish or meat. Raw foods must be prepared extremely carefully due to the lack of cooking which cancels any chance of food poisoning. The rawer the foods, the more likelihood of salmonella.
Rachael Cunnett said: “Just what you need with your sushi....a side order of food poisoning.”
After reading the original article Elliot Kim commented: “Wheeeelp I may not be going back for a bit, now.”
