A CAR park in Reading caused chaos this morning (June 29) as the barriers stopped working.
The Riverside Car Park, in Reading, was full of drivers queuing to get in as the machines were faulty for pre-registered cars that normally park there.
Many drivers were held up at the two barriers when their registration plate wasn’t scanning.
Individuals either had to press the call button to get hold of the operator or get a ticket.
The issue caused long queues to get into the car park this morning for those getting to work.
One angry driver, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “Not a great start to a Wednesday, it could cost me an extra £20 which is a lot of money.”
The car park, which has six levels, has 1,611 spaces and is very popular with Reading shoppers to are coming for a day trip to The Oracle shopping centre.
