Former Reading caretaker manager and assistant boss Eddie Niedzwiecki has returned to the club as Director of Player Development.
The Welshman has been brought in during the off-field shake-up at the SCL Stadium alongside a new goalkeeper coach and first team coach to help Paul Ince in Berkshire next season.
A close associate of new Director of Football Operations, Mark Bowen, the former Chelsea goalkeeper "will offer oversight of both the first team and Academy playing personnel – monitoring, tracking, assisting and enhancing their development to help maximise their individual potential."

Eddie is back at a club he knows inside out, having been both a coach and caretaker boss at Elm Park before returning as Mark Bowen's assistant in RG2 in 2019 👏
Well-known in the town, Niedzwiecki first arrived at the club in the early 1990s, taking caretaker charge following the departure of Ian Porterfield in 1991.
Returning under Bowen in 2019, he was part of the backroom staff that brought stability in a period of relegation fears- remaining under Veljko Paunovic until 2021.
