READING Festival has ranked in the top 10 for most Instagrammable music events, new research shows.

The popular festival, which takes place between August 26 and 28, has entertained the crowds with its exciting line-ups over the years.

The event caters to almost every genre of music for its fans.

And fabric experts Dalston Mill Fabrics found its hashtag #readingandleeds has shown its popularity on Instagram with more than 16,600 posts using the tag on snaps and videos of the festival.

Others listed include Creamfields Festival (ranked first), Glastonbury Festival, Boardmasters Festival, Wireless Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, BST Hyde Park, Wilderness Festival, Y Not Festival and Parklife Festival.

A spokesperson from Dalston Mill Fabrics said: “Over the past decade, UK festival-goers have made quite an impact on Instagram, sharing their favourite snaps from festivals.

“The importance of 'festival fashion' has become increasingly popular over the years, with influencers and celebrities showing fans their thoughtfully pieced-together outfits in the hopes of gaining likes and attraction towards their pages."
