A person has died after being hit by a train between Reading and London.
British Transport Police confirmed the fatality after the incident was first reported by Great Western Railway at 4pm on Tuesday, June 21.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line in Slough shortly after 3.30pm today (21 June) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
As of 5pm, two of the four tracks between Reading and London Paddington had been reopened and services between these stations had resumed.
GWR confirmed that Slough and Windsor and Eton Central will not be served for the rest of the day.
