Former Reading FC Academy graduate Scott Davies has been made club captain for non-league side Slough Town.
Breaking through into the first team under Brendan Rodgers, he made five appearances for the Royals before being released and joining Crawley Town.
A Conference winner with Aldershot Town, the midfielder went on to enjoy a varied career in non-league after departing the professional game in 2014 at Oxford United.

With the Rebels since 2019, he played more than 30 games last season in the National League South and has been appointed captain ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
The 34-year-old had a much-publicised gambling addiction from a young age, something which he now working hard to educate young footballers about.
Speaking on Twitter, he said: "Delighted to stay on for another year and be named club captain at the same time. Can’t wait to get back in amongst it all."
