AN OFFICIAL ceremony has marked the ‘topping out’ of 461 new homes in Green Park Village– described as a “significant milestone ” for the town.

Overlooking the sunny views of Reading, Developers St Edward celebrated the construction of Bankside Gardens, a collection of 461 homes in Green Park Village, Reading.

The occasion was celebrated by the tying of a traditional yew branch – a practice dating back to the 8th Century in England - to the roof at No. 1 Bankside Gardens, the first apartment building to reach completion.

The first homes will be ready for residents to move into from August 2022, with the whole development set to complete in 2024.

Residents will also benefit from the all-new Reading Green Park Station opening this summer, which will provide quick access to Reading in just six minutes and from there, access to London in just 23 minutes.

The homes come with podium gardens and a community hub which will have a concierge, gym, cinema and co-working studio.

Residents will also have a new Tesco for all their weekly food needs. Prices start at £297,500 for a 1-bedroom apartment.
