Former Reading Academy graduate Teddy Howe has been released by National League side Barnet.

Full-back Howe rose through the Royals ranks and made his debut in May 2019.

Son of former Chief Executive Nigel Howe, the 23-year-old went on to make six appearances in RG2 until his departure in 2020, bringing to an end his 12-year involvement at the SCL Stadium.

A short spell with Blackpool, including a loan move to Scunthorpe United, eventually ended up with zero league appearances and saw him end up at the Hive in January after cutting his contract short.

The Bees finished 18th in the fifth tier of English football, with Howe playing 18 games in the second half of the campaign.

Barnet Head Coach, Dean Brennan said: “I would like to thank all the players for their contributions whilst at the club and wish the ones leaving us all the best moving forward.

“We are working extremely hard to make sure that we get our recruitment right and hope to bring our supporters some news on signings in the coming weeks.”
