The revelations over Downing Street parties during lockdowns has been an ongoing cause of controversy and has damaged the reputation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

It has prompted questions over whether anyone in Reading died with coronavirus when these parties took place.

As many as six parties at No 10 Downing Street, the Prime Ministers residence, are alleged to have happened in 2020, the first year of the pandemic.

The first party occurred on Friday, May 15, 2020 where PM Boris Johnson (Conservative, Uxbridge & South Ruislip) was alleged to have enjoyed a ‘wine and cheese gathering in the garden’.

The garden drinks, and another ‘garden party’ on May 20 were alleged to have occurred during the first lockdown.

This was followed by a flat party and a ‘leaving do’ on November  27, in the second lockdown, and three Christmas parties: a No 10 festive quiz on December 15, a Downing Street Christmas party on December 18 and festivities on Christmas day itself.

But no one in Reading died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus tests on any of these days.

That’s according to data found on the Government’s Covid-19 dashboard.
