A Reading man has been handed a hefty fine after resting his feet on a seat on a train.
Joshua Wood, of Milestone Avenue, Charvil, ‘wilfully interfered with the comfort or convenience of a person’ on the Merseyrail railway on May 8, 2021.
He was travelling between Moorfields, in Liverpool, and Waterloo, in London, when he put his feet on a seat in the carriage.
Appearing at St Helens Magistrates’ Court on May 16, 2022, the 30-year-old was fined £307 for breaching the Merseyrail Railway Byelaws 2014.
He was also ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £150 in court fees.
