Three café’s in Reading have been named as finalists in The Food Awards England 2022.
Cafe Yolk, Picnic Foods, The Switch were all nominated for best Café / Bistro of the Year.
Eateries representing Reading made up almost half the nominees in the South East category.
“I think it’s really good, it feels a little bit special,” said Café Yolk manager Roksana Kabala, who has worked at the café for a year.

Asked why she thought the café was nominated: “We serve reasonably-priced food, the service is always nice and we get good feedback from the customers. We have a lot of regular people.”
She recommended first-time customers try the Mexican brunch or Canadian breakfast.
