A CUSTOMER who was about to tuck into his Big Mac was “disgusted” to find someone had already taken a bite out of it.

A man bought his family a meal from the McDonald's, on Slough High Street, and said they were “put off” when his brother saw his already eaten burger.

“I ordered the meal through the McDonalds app and it was delivered by Uber Eats,” he said.

“We all sat down at home to eat, and my brother came over to me and said I should get a refund as he showed me the bite taken out of the burger, it was disgusting.

“You could clearly see the teeth marks, I don’t know whether a member of staff was making it for themselves but the burger itself wasn’t even constructed very well either.”

The customer said he was offered free vouchers as compensation, but he feels McDonalds should investigate further.

“This is a safety concern and I want them to properly investigate this, it may have just been an innocent mistake, but I think they need to look into it.”

A spokesperson for McDonald’s said: “Food safety is of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control and follow rigorous standards in order to avoid any imperfections in our food.

“Having investigated the matter further we are confident that the beef patty was not tampered with before it left the restaurant and simply broke during the cooking process.

“We are sorry for this inconvenience and we understand that the customer is currently liaising with our Customer Services team.”
