A DRIVER has been stopped by police for having an expired MOT certificate.
Thames Valley Police stopped the Volkswagen Golf driver in West Berkshire earlier this week.
Officers from Thames Valley Police Road Policing teams are running a special week of action in support of this month’s United Nations Global Road Safety Week between Friday, May 13 to 17.
The week-long campaign will focus on challenging and changing the behaviour of those who put their own safety, and that of other road users at risk, with special emphasis on the fatal four offences.
The Fatal Four - speeding, drink/drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone at the wheel - are the motoring offences which are most linked to death or serious injury on the roads.
In this instance, police said the driver was caught without insurance and expired MOT.
West Berkshire police said: "Please ensure your vehicle has ALL the correct documents."
