Reading FC midfielder John Swift has been named in the WhoScored Championship Team of the Year for 2021/22.
Playing 36 matches for the Royals this season, the attacking midfielder has created 102 chances- the joint most in the division- despite the club finishing fourth from bottom.

With 11 goals and 13 assists, Swift is the first Reading player to finish outright top scorer and outright top assister for the cub in the same season since Shane Long in 2010/11- a year in which the Royals finished fifth.
Joining the club in 2016, the former England Under-21 international has played over 200 times for the club but looks set to leave this summer following the end of his contract.
Despite rumoured interest from Premier League sides such as Leeds United and Burnley, the Athletic reports that Championship side West Brom are favourites to tempt the Chelsea Academy graduate to put pen to paper on a new deal.
