Reading Women’s striker Natasha Dowie has been nominated for WSL Goal of the Season.
The 33-year-old former England international joined the club last year and has scored seven goals in 21 appearances for Kelly Chambers’ side.
Having played for the likes of AC Milan and Liverpool, the Abu Dhabi born goal getter arrived in RG2 with high expectations and she has delivered.
Dowie’s stunning lob against Leicester City in January was enough to earn her side a 1-0 win and make it five successive home wins for the Royals as they set their sights on a strong WSL finish.

That home winning run would last just one more game, against Birmingham City, before a run of five home wins without a win as the side slumped to an eighth-place finish.
Other stars of the women’s game nominated for the award include Manchester City’s Georgia Stanway and Chelsea’s Sam Kerr.
