Areas of West Reading will be represented by six new councillors following the historic full council election last week.

The western areas were seen as a battleground, with the Conservatives and Labour clashing in Kentwood and the Liberal Democrats fighting to beat the Tories in Tilehurst.

Ultimately, Labour gained a seat from the Conservatives in Kentwood, but were unable to get David Stevens re-elected as Labour councillor after he defected to the party earlier this year.
