Two former Reading stars are set to make an appearance at Wembley Stadium this month as Wycombe Wanderers book their place in the League One play-off final.

Despite losing 1-0 to MK Dons on Sunday night, the Chairboys progress 2-1 on aggregate to set up a tie with either Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday, with a place in the Championship up for grabs.

Winger Garath McCleary and Jordan Obita played both legs of the tie for Gareth Ainsworth's men and are to return to the national stadium five years on from play-off heartbreak with Reading.

34-year-old McCleary played more than 250 times for the Royals between 2012-2020, featuring at Wembley twice, even scoring in the FA Cup semi-final in 2015.

Similarly, Obita featured in both the FA Cup semi-final and the 2017 play-off final, scoring against Fulham in the play-off semi final first leg.

A product of the Academy at Reading, he joined aged seven and made almost 200 appearances before leaving in 2020 to join Oxford United.
