Reading FC Under-23s won the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup after beating Ascot United 4-0 at Arbour Park.

Noel Hunt's side beat MK Dons at the SCL Stadium in the semi-final to set up a final clash in Slough, the same day the first team lost 1-0 to Luton at Kenilworth Road.

Goals from Nehum Melvin-Lambert, Imari Samuels and Ajani Giscombe sealed a convincing win over the side from the Combined Counties Premier Division North.

It marks the fourth time the Royals have won the competition, first back in 1872 and most recently in 1994.

Unused subs for the first team, such as Nelson Abbey and Kelvin Ehibhationham made second half cameos in Slough, while Rashawn Scott- who played 20 minutes for the first team in Bedfordshire- managed to watch the remainder of the game from the sideline.
