Paul Ince makes two changes to his starting side from the one that lost 3-0 to Hull City last weekend, with Terell Thomas making his debut.
The Royals play West Brom in the final home match of what has been a turbulent 2021/22 campaign.
Signed after impressing on trial with the Under-23s, defender Thomas comes in for popular right-back Andy Yiadom.
It is also a big day for youngster Rashawn Scott, who makes the bench for the first time in his career.
Yakou Meite remains on the bench, yet to start after recovering from injury suffered before the international break.
