Former Reading FC tenants, London Irish Rugby Football Club, reached their first Cup final as a Premiership side in more than 20 years with a convincing win over Leicester Tigers.

Irish spent 20 years in Berkshire, at the then Madejski Stadium, between 2000 and 2020.

A 59-20 win over table-toppers Leicester booked their place in the Premiership Cup final, against either Gloucester Rugby or Worcester Warriors.

Navigating a difficult path to the final, Irish have beaten Northampton Saints, Saracens and Harlequins en-route.

The Exiles came close to being Premiership champions whilst at the stadium, losing to Leciester at Twickenham in the final in 2009.

Enjoying a successful spell in the mid-2000s, the club dropped into the second tier for the first time in 10 years in 2016, and again in 2018.

Moving to the Brentford Community stadium last summer, Declan Kidney's side have enjoyed a successful season in West London, challenging for a European place in the league as well as going far in both the European Challenge Cup and Premiership Cup.
