Reading FC striker George Puscas, who is currently out on loan in Italy, has been nominated for the Serie B Player of the Month.

The Romanian forward joined the Royals in the summer of 2018 from giants Inter Milan for a reported, yet undisclosed, record fee.

After 20 goals in 91 appearances for Reading, he fell out of favour this season after notching just two goals, and was sent on loan to Pisa in the Italian second tier.

Taking a bit of time to settle, the Romania international has now bagged seven goals in 16 appearances, including four in April, in a bid to get Pisa promoted to the Serie A.

He is still under contract with Reading, and so may return and play a part in the Championship next season, although it remains unlikely.

He has been nominated alongside 20-year-old Adrian Bernabe of Parma, who also scored four in April, and Gianluca Gaetano of Cremonese who has scored three from midfield.

With two games remaining, Pisa are in sixth place- three points behind Cremonese in second.
