Reading FC midfield maestro, John Swift, is on the wanted list at West Bromwich Albion, according to reports.

The creative central midfielder, who has regularly gets shifted out-wide under interim manager Paul Ince, has contributed a career high 11 goals and 13 assists for the Royals this season.

However, the 26-year-old is out of contract at the SCL Stadium this summer.

According to an article in the Express and Star, the club have “sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions” and that he now “seems highly likely to be a Baggies target this summer.”

Reading Chronicle:

Playing almost 200 times for the side since his arrival in 2016, the Chelsea academy graduate has regularly been tipped for moves away, with the Baggies one of multiple clubs reportedly interested.

Leeds. Burnley, Norwich, and Brentford have all been heavily linked with the former England Under-21 international.

Currently lead by veteran Steve Bruce, it has been a disappointing season for the West-Midlands outfit, who would have expected to be challenging for an immediate return to the top-flight after relegation last season.

Currently out with a thigh injury, it would looks unlikely that Royals fans will ever see the talisman in a Reading shirt again.
