Thousands have watched this viral video taken by a Reading photographer.

More than 100,000 people have watched a TikTok video taken by a drone photographer from Reading.

Tony McGinn, from Tilehurst, shot the footage of Mapledurham Lock in Purley On Thames, just outside of Reading, on Sunday.

It has racked up almost 111,000 on the social media app, where Mr McGinn is known as flyskydronesuk.

“I think it went viral due to the type of footage it is. I did another Timelapse video of Carter’s steam fairground last week and it had 7000 views in two hours,” said Mr McGinn.

He took up photography as a hobby during lock down as a way to get out of the house.

Mr McGinn said he enjoyed the freedom to just get in the car and go somewhere to capture photos that we don’t normally get to see.

The lock was not the only subject of his lens over the Easter weekend, snapping beautiful photographs of the of Ouse Valley Viaduct, MapleDurham House and Arundel Castle
