Reading FC have confirmed that the Berks and Berks Senior Cup semi-final will take place at the Select Car Leasing Stadium next month.

After a penalty shoot-out win over Chesham United in the quarter-final, a Reading FC Under-23s side will host MK Dons in the last four on Monday, April 11.

League One Dons knocked out Beaconsfield Town in the quarter-final to set up a date with the Royals next month- a first meeting between the sides since 2016.

The winner of the tie will face Ascot United in the final after the Yellamen beat League One Wycombe Wanderers on penalties earlier in the week.

The Chairboys have won the most Senior Cups with 28, closely followed by Maidenhead United on 22.

The Royals won their third title in 1995, having been inaugural winners in 1878 and 1892

A side featuring the likes of current first teamers Tom Holmes and Coniah Boyce-Clarke lost 3-1 to Slough Town in the 2019 final.

Β In 2020, Reading beat Marlow on penalties in the quarter-final, only for the Covid-19 pandemic to bring the competition to a premature end.

Reading have confirmed that the match will kick-off at 7.30pm, with supporters of both sides welcome to attend.

Ticket details will be announced in due course.
