Reading snatched a late point against AFC Bournemouth thanks to a late Tom Ince stunner.

Take a look at my player ratings below

Orjan Nyland- 6: Made a string of saves and looked comfortable commanding a back four. Adds experience that Luke Southwood doesn't have. A solid debut.

Andy Yiadom- 6: Another so-so performance from the Ghana international. Not as good as he has been in the past but far from poor. Solid all round.

Reading Chronicle:

Tom Holmes- 6: Returning from a Covid-19 enforced break and didn't look out of place. Won every header and put in some big tackles. Keeping it tight at the back allowed the front players to take the extra gamble and equalise.

Michael Morrison- 6: Commanded back four well and won his tackles. Went long quite often and was not always the best option.

Tom McIntyre- 5: Still struggling out of position but put in solid shift. Keen to play backwards too often which frustrated away end in second half.

Danny Drinkwater- 6: Did what Drinkwater was brought in for. Kept the ball  ticking over and was regularly looking to play forward.

Reading Chronicle:

Josh Laurent- 7: Big ball of energy throughout. Seemed to be playing much more advanced this evening and allowed him to get in the face of the Cherries back four more than usual. The Laurent we've been crying out for.

Andy Rinohmota- 6: Another good Rinohmota performance. Deeper than he has played in the past but screened the back four well and looked to push forward where possible.

Ovie Ejaria- 6: A good peformance from the magician. Some sublime touches and dazzling skill. Just standard Ovie. Also, his corner lead to the equaliser.

Tom Ince- 7: A thorn in the Bournemouth side for most of the match and a stunning strike worthy of changing any game. His best match in a Royals shirt.

Reading Chronicle:

Lucas Joao- 7: A very good performance from the Portugese, doing everything but scoring. Some incredible hold up play and first touches, just lacked the goal to round off a good evening out.

Subs

Yakou Meite- 6: Provided a threat and lifted the crowd but would have loved to see him up top alongside Joao, rather than with him.

Junior Hoilett- 5: Had very little to do but did what he had to.
