Meanwhile, the operators of Prospect Park Hospital have asked for more time to build a walkway.

Changes to 211 home Renaissance Reading development (220209)

Bellway Homes has applied to increase the number of bedrooms of four of the homes it is building as part of its Renaissance Reading development in Portman Road.

The 211-home development was approved in 2018.

Now, Bellway Homes has applied to change the second floor of the homes in plots 31, 32, 33 and 34 of the development, increasing the number of bedrooms from three to four in all of these homes.

Instead of having one bedroom and a study, each home for plots 31, 32 and 33 would have a second bedroom on the second floor.

Plot 34 has two bedrooms on the second floor as planned, but Bellway Homes want to add another bedroom on that floor.

The operators of Prospect Park Hospital have asked for more time to build a covered walkway between the  Campion and Hazelwood buildings on the site.

In 2020, hospital operators applied for the walkway to be built to allow patients and staff to enter and exit both buildings (application 200073).

Construction of the walkway was approved on the provision that work must start no later than three years from its approval.

However, it appears work has hit a snag as the operators have applied for this condition to be removed or varied.

Photos show that the walkway has not been completed yet.

Will Dunwell, the owner of 69 Kidmore Road in Caversham, has applied to build a garage in the garden of the home.

The garage would be built out of timber and brick cladding, in the garden of the home which lies at the junction of Kidmore Road and St Andrews Road.

It is understood that the garage could be used for storing a car or as a shed.
