Shocking CCTV footage shows a man pouring ‘blood’ on Broad Street in the middle of the night.

Police cordoned off the splattered red liquid outside Wolf Italian Street Food at 7am this morning, and witnesses reported three other stains in the town centre, one of which was confirmed in Duke Street.

There have been no reports of an ‘injured party’ so far, according to Thames Valley Police.

The Wolf Italian Street Food manager Owen Parker-Brunt described the moment he watched the ‘weird’ footage captured by his CCTV for the first time.

“It was very weird. I was stood next to a policeman and we were watching it together,” said Mr Parker-Brunt, whose cameras caught the man at 2.30am today (February 22).

“We saw it and both said ‘that’s very odd’. It’s not every day you see someone walk down a street and pour out what looks to be a load of blood on the floor.

He continued: “If I had turned on the cameras and seen someone being attacked, as horrible as that is, at least you’d know what was going on.

“This is even more strange that it just seems to be a gentleman pouring a container of blood onto the floor.”

Witnesses reported seeing red stains in four locations in Reading, but two have not been verified.

Police have removed the cordon on Broad Street where 'blood' was splattered across the ground, which has been cleaned by a Reading Borough Council crew.

Wolf Italian Street Food have placed their outside seating area back outside, where the liquid was spotted.
