Two masked men stormed a pub and stabbed a man three times earlier this evening, according to reports.
Police are responding to an incident at The Victoria pub on Norcot Road in Tilehurst where the man was allegedly attacked.
The shocking details were posted on The Victoria’s Facebook page, although Thames Valley Police are yet to confirm what happened.
The pub’s social media statement: “Good evening folks, the pub will be closed this evening.
“[At] 5 minutes to 5[pm] this afternoon two masked men came through the back door, looked around then left through the front door where they stabbed a man 3 times.
“As far as we are aware the man is ok, the pub is currently a crime scene so we are closed while the police do their thing.
“We should be back open as normal tomorrow.
“Hopefully these men get caught quickly and the victim makes a swift recovery.
“Stay safe everybody.”
Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment.
