With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, many will be wondering what to do with their loved one.

The go-to plan is normally a nice candle-lit meal-for-two from Marks and Spencer’s or Waitrose and an early night, but after the year we’ve all had why not push the boat out and head to a nice restaurant in the town?

Below are five restaurants in Reading providing a special, set menu for Valentines Night.

 

Miller and Carter

One of the UK’s best loved steakhouses, nothing screams ‘romantic meal for two’ more than Miller and Carter.

Between February 14 and February 18, customers can pay £29.95 for a three-course meal from a set menu.

You can even Add a glass of Moët & Chandon Imperial for £9 per person, or a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial for £45.

A non-refundable £10 per person deposit is required on all tables on Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th and Monday 14th February.

 

The Botanist

Reading Chronicle:

Sat in King Street, the Botanist has the reputation of one of the best fine dining restaurants in the town.

For £35 per person, diners are given a welcome cocktail, named Cupid’s Arrow, before choosing a starter to share and a main course and pudding each.

For the evening of Valentine’s Day itself, food will be available only from the set menu, with a choice of three starters, seven main courses and three deserts.

 

Zizzis

Reading Chronicle:

The popular Italian restaurant on Riverside has been a Valentine’s Day staple for many couples in the town, and this year is no different.

For £23.95 per person, diners are given a three-course meal and a drink, with plenty of choice in each dish.

This offer is running from Thursday, February 10 until Monday, 14 February.

 

London Street Brasserie

Reading Chronicle:

The most expensive of the options, London Street Brasserie is fine dining personified.

For £65 per person, alongside a £10 deposit per person to reduce the likelihood of ‘no shows’, an extensive menu will ensure there is something for everyone.

Special Valentine’s cocktails are also available, with drinks such as a Flirtini or Passionfruit Kiss.

 

Bills

Reading Chronicle:

Sat in the idyllic church yard of the St Mary’s Church, Bills is a beautiful setting for a Valentine’s night out.

For £24.95 diners are treated to a complimentary Lovestruck cocktail before being given the choice of four starters, four main courses and three desserts.
