George Puscas has finalised his Reading FC exit, joining Italian Serie B side Pisa on loan for the rest of the season.

Puscas has endured a torrid time since arriving at Reading in 2019, scoring just 20 times in 91 appearances. This season he has found the back of the net twice in 27 games.

Now though, his Royal nightmare has come to an end with the announcement of his deadline day departure.

While Puscas could return in the summer, it is understood that the deal includes an obligation to buy for the Italian side should Pisa be promoted to Seria A. Puscas' new team currently sit second in the promoton race, just one point behind the league leaders.

In a statement released Monday night Reading said:

"Reading Football Club can confirm that George Pușcaș has completed a loan move to Italian second division side Pisa and will play the remainder of the 2021-22 season in Serie B.

"Pușcaș joined the Royals from Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 and has scored 20 goals in 91 appearances for Reading. He has found the back of the net twice this season, his last coming in a 4-3 defeat at home to Huddersfield earlier this month.

"Pisa are currently chasing promotion to Serie A, sitting in second place behind league leaders Lecce, but only a point ahead of Brescia in third.

"Puscas could make his Serie B return when Pisa travel to Piedmont to take on Alessandria on Saturday."
