Reading manager Veljko Paunovic has made three changes from the team that was swept aside by Luton Town in midweek with a much stronger Royals squad available for the clash with Huddersfield Town.
Fresh from their Africa Cup of Nations exit, starting full-backs Andy Yiadom and Baba Rahman return to the side at the expense of academy graduates Tyrell Ashcroft and Ethan Bristow.
In midfield, Josh Laurent starts alongside Danny Drinkwater and Andy Rinomhota. Meanwhile, Paunovic has opted for a two up top with Lucas Joao making is first start since August next to George Puscas as John Swift roams in the sapce between midfield and attack.
Tom Dele-Bashiru drops to the bench where he is joined by winger Junior Hoilett, fit enough to rejoin the squad today after picking up a hamstring problem in the defeat to Middlesbrough last weekend.
As a whole, it's likely the strongerst Reading team Paunovic has had in quite a few months.
