A SPATE of garden sheds have been broken into in recent days across Reading.

Thames Valley Police have issued safety advice to locals across the town after receiving reports of two burglaries on Monday, January 17.

The shed break-ins took place in Cardigan Road and Alexander Road, Reading.

Between 1am and 2am, a burglar forced the door open of a garden shed and stole a bicycle.

A second break-in happened at midnight, where a burglar broke into a shed and stole an electric scooter and charger.

Thames Valley Police said: "Please report any suspicious incidents, sightings or any information to The Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 , also please check your CCTV Cameras, Doorbell Cameras or Dashcam."
