A teenager from Reading stole Gucci, Canada Goose and Valentino branded items worth more than £4,000 from a Harrods in London.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, took the luxury goods, including a jacket, bag and belt, on December 23.

They were handed a three month community sentence at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on January 10.

The teenager, who pled guilty, will meet with a West Berkshire youth offender panel which will determine the nature of the restorative or rehabilitative sentence.

They were ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22 by February 7.
