Former Reading FC goalkeeper Rafael Cabral has left fans a parting message shortly after he completed his exit from the club on Monday.
Linked for weeks with a move back to Brazil - where he will join Cruzeiro - Reading officially announced Monday morning that the 31-year old had terminated his contract by mutual consent allowing him to leave for free.
Rafael arrived at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in 2019, going on to make 98 apperaances while keeping 30 clean sheets. His good form in his debut campaign was rewarded with the 2019/20 Reading Player of the Season award.
He started this season as the club's number one goalkeeper, but lost his place to academy graduate Luke Southwood after injuring his hand in Septemeber.
I felt like home since my first day.
