Reading FC manager Velijko Paunovic has opted to stick with the same team that bested Swansea City 3-2 at the Swansea.com Stadium last weekend.

After tinkering in recent weeks with a back five, Paunovic went with a 4-2-3-1 formation in Wales and with the same personnel in the team today it appears that the Royals will utilise a similar system.

Luke Southwood starts in goal with Andy Yiadom, Scott Dann, Tom Holmes, and Abdul Baba Rahman at the back. Danny Drinkwater and Josh Laurent will be charged with holding down the midfield with Alen Halilovic, Tom Dele-Bashiru, and Josh Swift supporting the lone striker Andy Carroll.

Carroll will be looking to build on his strong start in a Reading shirt, having opened his account last week.

Hull City are also unchanged this afternoon having found significant success in recent weeks with a shift to a back five.
