Storm Arwen is due to hit the UK in the coming days and will bring strong winds, rain, colder temperatures and even some snow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning in place for snow in Berkshire.

Temperatures are set to plummet to below freezing and there is a chance of seeing some white flakes as early as midnight tonight (November 24).

Will there be snow in Berkshire this weekend?

Friday night will be windy and we can expect a mix of rain and snowy showers.

An area of rain will move south across central and south east England on Saturday morning. There is a chance that this will turn to snow.

Saturday

Weather forecasters predict a chance of 2-5cm of snow and perhaps up to 8cm over higher ground above 150-200metres.

Residents have been warned that 'disruption is likely and short lived with any snow melting during the morning'.

Temperatures will get no higher than 3c and the rest of the day is likely to be cloudy but dry.

Sunday

A bright and sunny day is expected on Sunday, with very little chance of rain or snow.

Temperatures will reach 5c but will feel more like -2c according to the Met Office.

Temperatures will plummet to freezing overnight on Sunday.
