Thames Valley Police have charged another man in connection with a murder investigation launched following the death of a man in Tilehurst late last month. 

Carlos Daniel Capitao Mor Da Fonseca, 23, of Fawn Drive, Three Mile Cross, has been charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and perverting the course of justice.

This comes after Reece Heffernan was fatally stabbed on Romany Lane on Halloween. 

The 23-year-old is the fifth man to be charged in connection with the incident. 

Tuviah Thompson-Hordle, 18, of Brant Close, Arborfield, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife in a public place.

Hamzah Ahmed, 18 of Jubilee Road, Reading, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife in a public place.

A 17-year-old from Earley, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with one count of murder, one count of perverting the course of justice and one count of possession of the bladed article.

Umar Arshad, 23, of Waterloo Road, Wokingham, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

An 18-year-old man from Reading, who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender, and an 18-year-old woman from Reading and a 21-year-old woman from Wokingham, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have all been released on conditional bail.
