A SERVING police officer is in hot water after they were accused of making racist remarks when investigating a breach of Covid regulations.

PC Greenhalf, based at Loddon Valley Police Station in Earley, is also accused of making offensive and homophobic comments on a number of occasions in front of colleagues.

A misconduct hearing is set to take place later this month to investigate the incidents.

The first incident came on October 16, 2020, when PC Greenhalf allegedly made the racist comments.

And the offensive, homophobic comments were made “from June 2021”, a police report claimed.

PC Greenhalf is set to appear before the misconduct hearing as it “is alleged that [they] breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to Authority, Respect and Courtesy, Equality and Diversity and Discreditable Conduct.”

The police report stated that PC Greenhalf’s conduct would amount to gross misconduct if the allegation are proven.

The misconduct hearing is set to take place at Thames Valley Police headquarters between Wednesday, November 24 and Friday, November 26.
