THE Reading Chronicle has launched its Dog of the Month feature with the help from Dogs Trust Newbury.

Each month, we appeal to dog lovers who are considering adopting a dog and giving it the forever home it’s been eagerly waiting for.

This month’s Dog of the Month is Buddy the Lurcher, an affectionate dog who loves nothing more than doing zoomies and playing.

Jenny Hopkins, assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said: “Buddy is such a sweet boy and we can’t understand why he hasn’t had much interest yet! Despite being a little worried by new people and environments initially, he soon comes out of his shell – especially if you have some fun toys to play with, that’s his favourite!

Reading Chronicle:

“Buddy is looking for a quiet home with a lovely big garden where he can play and run around doing zoomies! He does have some work to do on boosting his confidence so is looking for patient adopters who will spend some time with him to help him reach his full potential. He’d love a quiet space in his new home where he can retreat to when visitors come and somewhere he can sleep without being disturbed.

“Buddy would prefer to be the only dog in the home but would benefit from some gradual and positive interactions with doggy friends when out and about. He’d need an adult-only home with no visiting children.

If you think you could give Buddy the forever home he is looking for, please go to www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming to start the virtual adoption process.
