Here are our player ratings from Reading's 1-0 loss to Millwall. The result sees Veljko Paunovic's men sit 18th in the Championship, 10 points above the relegation places. It was the Royal's fourth defeat in a row in what has been a disappointing run of games.

Southwood - 7

The goalkeeper was Reading's best player, not what you want to hear in a loss. He made several fine saves that kept Millwall at bay. He eventually was beaten by a goal he could do nothing about.

Ashcroft - 6

In what was the 19-year-olds first-team debut he grew into the game playing at right-wing back. He offered width out wide and delivered a couple of good balls.

Moore - 5

Solid most of the game but could have done slightly better with the goal. Had a chance from a corner at the end to grab a point but he put his header high and wide.

Dann - 5

Covered his defensive partners well whilst playing in a back three, a system where he he was able to play the long diagonal which didn't always pay off.

Holmes - 6

A decent all round performance on his first start since the Fulham win in the middle of September.

Rahman - 6

Effective in the first half down the left-hand side high up the pitch but faded into the second.

Laurent - 6

Worked hard in midfield in what was a tight battle between the two sides. Kept going straight to the end.

Ejaria - 6

One of Reading's biggest threats in the first half but he wasn't able to provide the final product.

Swift - 5

It wasn't his night with several opportunities spurned. During one attack he could have played in Puscas but went for goal instead. A freekick was fired into the wall in the dying moments.

Dele-Bashiru - 5

He nearly grabbed a late equaliser but needed to offer more on the ball in terms of creativity throughout the game.

Puscas - 6

Had the ball in the net in the first half but the linesman had his flag up for offside. The forward put himself about, running in behind and working the channels.

SUBS

Clarke - 4

Lots of pressing when he came on but he wasn't able to stamp his mark on the game with only 15 minutes on the pitch.

Camara - 5

Also came on late but provided a few good touches and threatening runs in behind.
