A READING woman who stole £200 cash and orange juice from a house in the town will learn her prison fate next month.

Shennie Bamsey, of Kendrick Road, Reading, stole the money and the juice alongside a bottle of whiskey and cans of Fosters beer at a property on St Stephens Court between July 25 and July 28, 2021. 

Appearing at Reading Crown Court this morning, Bamsey pleaded guilty to one count of burglary.

She was remanded in custody following her arrest and appeared in court in a prison-issued blue tracksuit.

The 41-year-old spoke only to confirm her name and to enter her guilty plea.

Following this, her defence counsel said this was her third burglary convictions.

She asked Her Honour Judge Real to adjourn the hearing for the sentence. 

Judge Real agreed, telling Bamsey she will appear in court again to learn her fate on Friday, November 26. 

Bamsey appeared at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, October 26.
