A burger and fried chicken restaurant opened in Reading town centre on Thursday (October 14).

Gourtmet4, a food court-style business, moved brands Smokin’ Buns and Saucy Chicks into the former Pizza Express building in St Mary’s Butts.

They agreed a new 10-year lease for £80,000 per year in June, but did not reveal which of their in-house brands would be using the site.

The business is aimed at meeting the expectation of Millennial and younger customers, by providing a dining experience that will compete with the convenience of delivery services.

Other brands housed by the company include Ostrich Kick, Bangon Thai Street Food, Smokey Joe’s, 3 Amigo and Pizzano.
